Why I created NENfolk
I’m Jud Kimmel, a neuroendocrine cancer patient and advocate. I was diagnosed in 2022 with Stage IV, Grade 3 small-intestine neuroendocrine cancer. I received Lu-177 DOTATATE as first-line treatment through the NETTER-2 clinical trial, which helped make a subsequent total tumor resection possible.
When I was newly diagnosed, I discovered a wealth of educational material—but finding the right information, in a format that worked for me, could be difficult. I created NENfolk to help patients and caregivers navigate credible resources from established organizations without having to search alone.
